Job summary

Camin Cargo Control is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee day-to-day lab operations in Port Arthur and Nederland, TX. You will supervise staff, uphold policies, and collaborate with Lab Manager on technical issues and customer service.

The role requires a bachelor’s or associate’s degree (or equivalent) and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. You will ensure compliance, safety, and continuous improvement across all lab activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or minimum of three years related experience.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Responsibilities

• Ensures all lab staff have adequate resources to perform all work.
• Maintains training and competency records for lab staff.
• Ensures compliance with corporate policy procedures in the laboratory.
• Assists Lab Manager regarding sales, profits, costs and expenses to meet/exceed budgeted financial expectations for the laboratory.
• Provides employee motivation and champions the Quality system, including SQC, Calibrations, Quality Assurance, Training, and Round Robins.
• Communicates with lab staff and management to promote empowerment and accountability.
• Understands customer requirements and organizes lab procedures, schedules and staffing to meet/exceed them.
• Maintains ISO-related actions and supports corrective/preventive actions.
