Job summary

SPL is launching a new LNG laboratory operation in Port Arthur, TX, and seeks an experienced Senior Lab Analyst. You will support commissioning, establish analytical workflows, and help ramp to 24/7 operations, ensuring safe, accurate, and reliable performance.

You’ll lead technical activities, mentor staff, and coordinate daily lab operations while collaborating with leadership to standardize SOPs and QA processes. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science.
• Minimum 3+ years in LNG/natural gas or energy-related lab environments.
• Experience leading teams, training, and workflow coordination.
• Proficient with lab instrumentation (GCs, sulfur analyzers, titrators) and data systems.

Responsibilities

• Support startup activities during LNG laboratory commissioning.
• Perform advanced sample prep, analytical testing, and QC.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot lab instrumentation.
• Review and interpret data in LIMS; identify issues and resolve in a timely manner.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to lab personnel.
