Altasciences is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support pathology and research teams by managing inventory, preparing materials, and coordinating sample processing. You will help ensure supplies, equipment, and spaces are organized and compliant to GLP standards.

The role emphasizes inventory control, lab operations, and hands-on scientific support in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to cross-train in procedures and SOP adherence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of experience in inventory control, laboratory support, or related operations.
• Experience managing supplies, stock rooms, or sample tracking systems is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Manage laboratory inventory, including stock levels and ordering supplies for daily operations.
• Prepare and print tissue cassettes, labels, forms, and study materials to support pathology workflows.
• Coordinate sample storage, tracking, and shipment preparation; maintain cleanliness and organization of lab spaces.
• Verify equipment functionality prior to use and operate lab equipment per procedures.
• Record and maintain accurate data and inventories in electronic and paper systems.
