Job summary

University Health is seeking a Laboratory clerical support role to assist daily functions in the Laboratory Department. You will perform a variety of clerical tasks and ensure accurate record keeping of patient samples, while coordinating the receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies from vendors and the hospital storeroom.

You will also assist in receiving and logging specimens delivered to the Laboratory from within UHS, research, and referral lab clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree preferred in business, public relations, clinical laboratory science or related field.
• Two years of clinical laboratory experience required.
• Six months to one year in general clerical work including familiarity with hospital procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily functions in the Laboratory Department.
• Perform clerical tasks and accurate record keeping of patient samples.
• Coordinate activities for receipt, storage and distribution of supplies from outside vendors and storeroom.
• Assist in the receipt and logging of specimens delivered to the Laboratory from within UHS, research, and referral lab clients.
