Description:This position will float between units as needed.On-call availability is required as needed.Weekends will be worked on a rotating basis after full training.A generalist is needed to cover various shifts due to staffing shortages.Most likely shifts include mid shifts, evenings, and rotating weekends.Ability to work independently on night shifts after training is essential.Training will consist of 40 hours in various departments including Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, and UA Micro.This role may also involve covering staffing needs for vacations and illnesses.Candidates should be prepared to assist with administrative tasks once fully trained.Flexibility in scheduling is crucial due to ongoing staffing needs.Special equipment experience, such as Sysmex and EXLs, is advantageous.The ideal candidate will have skills in specimen collection, processing, and testing.Strong knowledge of blood bank procedures and quality assurance practices is required.Candidates must commit to work during designated holidays.References will be required covering previous employment experience.Successful candidates may need to float between nearby facilities if required.Communication devices may be provided for work-related use.All applicants should respond honestly regarding prior employment experiences.
