The NYC DOHMH Public Health Laboratory seeks a qualified Laboratory Microbiologist.

Duties Will Include But Not Be Limited To

  • Performing high and moderate complexity testing on clinical and environmental specimens
  • Using manual and automated methods within BSL-2 and BSL-3 labs
  • Maintaining laboratory supplies and participating in cross-training
  • Assisting with specimen shipping and quality assurance
  • Using Laboratory Information Systems for data management

Candidates should bring required documentation to interviews, including proof of identity, education, residency, and professional licenses if applicable.

Minimum qualifications include a relevant degree and experience, with preferred skills in clinical or environmental diagnostic testing and licensing eligibility.

Residency in NYC is generally required within 90 days of appointment.

The salary range is $62,253.00 – $66,712.00.
