Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, MT (ASCP), or equivalent in basic sciences education and clinical lab experience with 5 years of progressively higher-level management/supervisory experience.
• Master's in business administration, health administration, or related clinical science field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides management direction to CP section supervisors and medical directors to ensure labs function smoothly and provide high-quality services.
• Carries out financial management activities including annual budget preparation, monitoring budget performance, and improvement planning.
• Leads CP to maximize revenues and minimize operating expenses; reviews billing, coding, compliance, and fee structures.
• Serves as a resource to CP medical staff to ensure timely performance of delivering laboratory services.
• Initiates and reviews proposals for modifying CP operational systems and implements changes.
• Directs outreach services with Pathology Outreach Manager and markets outreach services to clients.
• Handles operational needs including QA, risk management reports, and personnel issues; integrates lab services with other departments.
• Supports supervisors and coordinators in policy and procedure writing and personnel issues.
• Performs other duties as required.
