Job summary

PathGroup is seeking an AP/CP Board-Certified pathologist to join our hospital-based practice in Fort Wayne, IN. The role supports a leading regional referral hospital with a hybrid schedule: approximately two weeks on-site and two weeks remote.

Candidates with strong surgical pathology and clinical pathology skills will thrive in a digital, team-based environment with strong subspecialty support and active tumor boards.

Qualifications

  • AP/CP board certification or eligibility.
  • Strong diagnostic and interpersonal skills.
  • Eligible for Indiana medical license.
  • Experience in general surgical pathology and clinical pathology preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Sign-out of general surgical pathology and cytopathology cases.
  • Perform frozen sections and intraoperative consultations.
  • Oversee select areas of clinical pathology (blood bank, hematology, chemistry).
  • Participate in quality initiatives, tumor boards, and clinical discussions.

PathGroup is seeking an AP/CP Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pathologist to join our hospital-based practice supporting a leading regional referral hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Candidates based in the Greater Chicago, IL, Indianapolis, IN, and Detroit, MI areas are encouraged to apply, as this role offers a hybrid schedule consisting of approximately two weeks per month of on-site coverage in Fort Wayne and two weeks per month of remote sign-out.

This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to practice high-quality diagnostic medicine within a collaborative, digitally supported environment. About the Practice
  • High-volume, CAP-accredited laboratory supporting a tertiary care hospital and affiliated community hospitals
  • General surgical pathology volume averaging 60–90 cases per day
  • Case mix includes GI, GU, breast, lung, orthopedic, and endocrine pathology
  • Team-based practice model with 3–4 pathologists, supported by Pathologists’ Assistants and Cytotechnologists
  • Active tumor boards and collaboration with a dedicated cancer institute
  • Fully digitized workflow supporting efficient remote sign-out

Key Responsibilities:
