Job summary

SGS Consulting is seeking a laboratory preparation technician to support PRD customers by preparing buffers and media, recording process parameters, and reviewing worksheets. This role emphasizes accurate documentation and independent work within GMP guidelines.

The position requires math and algebra skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and strong communication to coordinate with customers and team members. Training is provided, with focus on safety and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent laboratory experience.
• Math and algebra skills.
• Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Problem solving and troubleshooting solutions
• Capable of working independently and organizing work activities

Responsibilities

• Prepare buffers and media in final volumes 100ml to 200L for PRD customers per formulation documents, SOPs and GMP.
• Accurately record weights, pH and other parameters on formulation worksheets.
• Review formulation worksheets completed by team members.
• Conduct daily checks of stock solutions at customer locations to maintain inventory levels.
• Place orders for replacement solutions in the eSolutions formulation request system when stock is low.
• Communicate with customers through the Media Prep Team distribution email.
• Place orders for raw materials and supplies using purchasing system and vendor-supported inventory program.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping including calibrating and cleaning lab instruments and equipment.
• Follow guidelines from Media Prep Lab Lead
