Job summary

Copley Hospital in Vermont seeks a Laboratory Manager to lead the Clinical Laboratory Services department. This role focuses on leadership, quality improvement, regulatory oversight, and developing a high-performing team dedicated to patient care close to home.

The position emphasizes mentorship, knowledge transfer from the current Laboratory Director, and hands-on support as needed to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing departmental success. A full-time PT options are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
• MLS (ASCP), MT (ASCP), CLS, or equivalent certification.
• Minimum of four years of clinical laboratory experience.
• Knowledge of laboratory operations, quality systems, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading as Lead Technologist, Supervisor, Manager, or other laboratory leadership role.
• Experience with staffing, employee development, quality management, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Qualifications to serve as a CLIA Technical Supervisor and/or Technical Consultant.
• Experience with LIS and laboratory middleware.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Clinical Laboratory Services department.
• Provide leadership, team development, quality, and patient care.
• Support regulatory oversight and operational management.
• Mentorship and knowledge transfer during transition with current Laboratory Director.
• Provide operational support when needed.
