Wellstar Health System Cobb Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Manager to oversee daily laboratory and phlebotomy operations, staffing, and regulatory compliance across the department.

Overseeing staffing, budgets, and quality controls, the role ensures timely, accurate lab services in a high-demand healthcare setting. Minimum 8 years lab experience with 2+ years in supervision is required, MT/MLS variants preferred.

Formación

• Minimum 8 years laboratory experience with a minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory position.
• Must possess the ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) and lead teams.
• Ensures compliance with CAP, CLIA, TJC, FDA and OSHA regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage budgets and resources in a fast-paced laboratory.
• Collaborates across hospital leadership to improve patient care and service delivery.

Responsabilidades

• Gives clear concise directions (oral and written) to laboratory staff.
• Establishes the monthly work schedule and on-call schedule with sufficient lead time.
• Monitors staff performance daily and intervenes promptly when needed.
• Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills and manages resources.
• Oversees budgeting and invoice/payment processes for the department.
