Job summary

Eurofins Donor & Product Testing is seeking a Laboratory Manager to lead the daily operations of the donor testing lab. You will hire and mentor staff, schedule production, and ensure accurate data handling and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a chemical/physical/biological science or medical technology and at least 5 years of laboratory experience. A strong emphasis on QA, SOP adherence, and budget oversight is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical or biological science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years’ experience in a laboratory setting with knowledge of methods, materials, and techniques.
• Ability to organize, communicate, teach, and work with others; ability to manage and schedule the work of others.

Responsibilities

• Manages the day to day operation of the laboratory to insure smooth flow of samples and testing.
• Hires, coaches, reviews, manages, and terminates assigned staff.
• Oversees scheduling to ensure production schedules are met.
• Counsels staff with regard to problems encountered in daily operations.
• Oversees data checking and transfer to correct inaccuracies prior to release.
• Oversees orientation of new staff to responsibilities and functions.
• Investigates quality events with QA related to site issues and customer complaints.
• Identifies process improvements to meet client expectations and company objectives.
• Recommends new equipment for the laboratory.
• Monitors inventory and par levels; liaises with outside vendors.
• Assists in budget development and monitors expenditures.
• Complies with regulatory and accrediting agencies and GMP expectations.
