Job summary

Adena Health System in Waverly, Ohio, seeks a Manager, Laboratory-Critical Access to lead all lab operations across Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Transfusion/Blood Bank, Urinalysis, Immunochemistry, Point of Care, Micro, Pathology, Reference Lab, and Phlebotomy for high and moderate complexity testing.

Join a leadership team focused on competency, quality, and CAP/CLIA compliance, while collaborating with the Laboratory Medical Director and Pathologist to ensure testing accuracy and staff

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in a clinic laboratory with high complexity testing.
• 2 years experience in a supervisory position.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all lab sections including Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Transfusion/Blood Bank, Urinalysis, Immunochemistry, Micro, Pathology, Reference Lab, and Phlebotomy.
• Ensure testing quality, competency and CAP/CLIA compliance.
• Coordinate daily operations and staff development.
• Collaborate with Laboratory Medical Director and Pathologist on testing and quality control.

What You’ll Do

The Manager, Laboratory Critical Access is responsible for all areas of the Lab, including Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Transfusion/Blood Bank, Urinalysis, Immunochemistry, Point of Care, Micro, Pathology, Reference Lab, and Phlebotomy for high and moderate complexity testing. The manager makes decisions independently and in collaboration with others. The position has direct patient contact and access to confidential employee, patient and financial information. The Manager, Laboratory Critical access works closely with the Laboratory Medical Director and Pathologist to ensure appropriate testing, competency and quality control. The Manager Critical Access Laboratory is responsible for the technical and scientific oversight of the laboratory, daily operations, problem resolution, quality improvement, coordination of section and site functions, allocation of resources and staff development, performing and recording competency assessment, and compliance with all CAP/CLIA, regulatory, and Adena Health System policies and procedures.

Required Certifications, Credentials and Licenses: Medically Technologist (MT)/Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology

Required Experience: 5 years experience in a clinic laboratory with high complexity testing; 2 years experience in a supervisory position required

Required Educational Degree: Bachelor's Degree Major/Area of Concentration: Medical Laboratory Technology .
