Job summary

UVA Health is seeking a Laboratory IS Program Coordinator to facilitate communication across Beaker/Lab IT and Community Health teams. You will support the laboratory management team with IS projects, upgrades, workflow improvements, and compliance documentation for auditors.

You will develop training materials, test plans, and SOPs, ensure regulatory requirements are met, and provide consultative services on workflow and technology integration within a complex health environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or information systems or a combination thereof.
• 5 years of leadership experience in a complex health environment and experience with laboratory middleware/ software/hardware preferred.
• Medical Technologist or equivalent certification preferred; Virginia Driver’s License may be required; PM training/certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Aligns work to organizational objectives.
• Liaises with UVA Lab Beaker and laboratory teams for middleware/software updates and reference lab builds.
• Ensures regulatory requirements are met and documented.
• Develops training materials for staff and conducts educational sessions.
• Creates and maintains project reports and communications.
• Performs quality improvement and compliance activities and reports to the Program Manager.
• Generates data reports to support laboratory operations and testing optimization.
• Supports onboarding and training of new team members.
