Job summary

Claremont McKenna College is seeking an Integrated Sciences Laboratory Infrastructure and Operations Manager to oversee the operation, maintenance, safety, and continuous improvement of laboratory infrastructure and scientific instrumentation in the Kravis Department of Integrated Sciences.

You will collaborate with Facilities, Campus Services, and Public Safety to keep labs safe, reliable, and fully operational.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ experience with scientific, engineering, or laboratory equipment or instruments.
• Must be organized, punctual, and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate laboratory infrastructure and scientific equipment.
• Coordinate with Facilities and Campus Services on building-integrated lab systems.
• Ensure safety compliance with building, fire, and laboratory codes.
• Respond promptly to equipment failures and facility emergencies, including after hours.
• Manage lab stockroom, inventory, and equipment installations/setup.
• Support installation and setup of lab instrumentation for teaching and research.
