Job summary

You will collaborate with IT, Laboratory leadership, and vendors to optimize workflows, perform testing and validation, and maintain documentation. This role emphasizes informatics and data handling while working with hospital-wide systems in Hollister, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, biology, information systems, healthcare informatics, or related field.
• Experience in a clinical laboratory or healthcare IT environment required.
• Current California CLIA license highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize the LIS under supervision.
• Troubleshoot and resolve LIS issues affecting laboratory operations.
• Develop tests and validation plans for LIS changes and interfaces.
• Coordinate with IT, vendors, and hospital departments on system interfaces.
• Assist with data reporting, metrics, and regulatory documentation.
• Support training for laboratory staff on LIS workflows and tools.
