Southcoast Health is seeking a Laboratory Call Center Specialist to support the Laboratory Outreach Program in Dartmouth, MA. The role involves handling inquiries, coordinating specimen procurement, test ordering, result delivery and billing while providing coverage across outreach locations and SPG offices.

The position emphasizes meticulous documentation, timely follow-ups on client activity, and participation in quality events, with compensation determined by experience and a strong benefits

Qualifications

• Four years of high school completed required.
• Some knowledge of medical terminology or related courses.
• Minimum of one year of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve issues related to laboratory specimen procurement, test ordering, results delivery and billing.
• Provide support for all areas of the Laboratory, including hospital sites, SPG offices and Outreach Patient Service Centers.
• Document and follow up on patient and client activity; investigate work queue exceptions.
• Participate in Laboratory related Quality events and provide coverage for the appointment desk Call Center.
