Job summary

Dartmouth Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (Clinical Laboratory Scientist) V for full-time, day-shift work with rotating weekends in NH. The role focuses on performing a variety of diagnostic tests, overseeing QC, and training staff in a high-volume, automated laboratory environment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, ensuring accurate patient results, and maintaining regulatory compliance while rotating across multiple clinic sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelors of Science Degree or the equivalent in education & Clinical Laboratory experience.
• 3-5 years of clinical lab experience required.
• Ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines and manage changing volumes. Basic knowledge of computer software systems.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the ability to perform a variety of laboratory tests in a timely manner with accurate results.
• Troubleshoots issues independently and ensures patient results are reported only when systems function correctly.
• Oversees quality control and instrument checks, develops and monitors QC plans within regulatory requirements.
• Trains new laboratory staff and students, develops competency tools and conducts training.
• Performs phlebotomy support and specimen processing as needed.
• Ensures adherence to hospital safety requirements and participates in continuing education.
