Knoxville Hospital and Clinics in Knoxville, IA seeks a PRN Phlebotomist to support the Laboratory, roughly 2-3 shifts per month as needed. You will perform venipuncture and capillary draws, label specimens, record temperatures, and ensure specimens are handled and tested according to protocol and HIPAA rules.
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, valid phlebotomy certification (or CLA), weekend availability, and completion of annual competency training.

Responsible for verifying patient information and labeling samples while explaining blood draw procedures to patients. Efficiently and accurately obtaining blood draws and patient specimens. Perform daily technical work in the laboratory testing blood, urine specimens. Supervised by a medical laboratory technologist. Assist with drug and paternity testing.
