Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months phlebotomy experience or training from an accredited school.
• Preferred - At least 1 year experience in phlebotomy; specimen handling experience a plus.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Know, understand, and apply general lab policies and procedures; adhere to regulatory guidelines.
• Assess situations, act independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate competency in designated lab sections and complete daily tasks on schedule.
• Assist in training new employees and students in lab policies and procedures.
• Explain procedures and use age-appropriate communication with patients.
• Maintain quality, safety, and regulatory standards in the lab.
