Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System in Fremont, NE is seeking a healthteam assistant with phlebotomy responsibilities and clerical duties to support patient care in a busy lab setting. You will perform venipuncture, specimen collection and distribution, and help ensure accurate patient identification and timely processing of samples.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent, with at least one year of healthcare or laboratory support experience.

Qualifications

High School diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
One year of health care related experience preferred.
One year medical or laboratory assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs patient procedures to include phlebotomy and other specimen collection, ensuring proper labeling and timely processing.
Assists health care team to provide quality care in a caring environment.
Handles computer, clerical and receptionist duties to support patient care and satisfaction.
Interacts professionally with physicians and staff, conveying results and questions clearly.
Maintains competency across technical, computer and clerical functions per policy.
Adheres to safety policies and regulatory requirements (OSHA, JCAHO, CLIA).
Provides courier services for outreach clients when needed.
