Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Review provider orders, register patients, and enter tests per requisition.
• Verify patient identity using two identifiers before collection.
• Collect blood specimens by venipuncture, finger stick, or heel stick; gather urine, throat, and nasal samples per policy.
• Label specimens with two identifiers, date/time, and collector initials; ensure integrity and proper handling.
• Perform urine drug screen collections and breath alcohol testing per policy.
• Coordinate drug-monitoring collections with nursing to align dose and draw time.
• Resolve unclear test orders by contacting providers or lab staff; escalate unresolved issues to supervisor.
• Process specimens to appropriate lab sections or reference labs per policy.
• Maintain par levels and assist with weekly inventory of supplies.
• Participate in performance improvement and required education; perform other duties as assigned.
