Job summary

Havasu Regional Medical Center, a Lifepoint Health facility in Lake Havasu City, AZ, seeks a Medical Technologist for a fulltime varied schedule. You will perform diagnostic testing on patient samples, operate high-quality lab equipment and ensure accurate reporting to physicians, contributing to community health.

The role requires an associate's degree; a Bachelor's is preferred, and ASCP or AMT licensure is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from an accredited program.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Medical Technologist license through ASCP or AMT preferred.
• Licensure to reflect education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic testing on patient samples to aid physicians in diagnosis and monitoring of various disease states.
• Follow standardized procedures and help prepare samples for testing.
• Collect samples and analyze bodily fluids and substances for abnormalities.
• Collect blood and study blood samples used in transfusions.
• Operate laboratory equipment in a high-quality, effective manner.
• Analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits, and report/document results per organizational standards.
• Perform automated tests using computerized instruments and automated equipment.
• Run tests and analyze the results to be reported to the physician or registered nurse.
• Perform Quality Assurance work to ensure accuracy of equipment.
