North Country Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Assistant to support the department in technical and non-technical areas, back up histology, and assist in training phlebotomy staff. This role covers all affiliates in the NH region.
The position requires High School/GED, BLS certification, and at least one year of phlebotomy experience. Excellent customer service and strong LIS/Office software skills are needed.
This position will cover all affiliates!
The Clinical Laboratory Assistant functions as overall assistant to the department in areas of technical and non-technical support, quality improvement, quality concerns, service recovery, specimen collection, and LIS order entry. Assists in training phlebotomy staff on waived lab procedures and backs up the histology lead tech for processing of histology specimens.
High School Graduate or equivalent GED, Associate Degree preferred
Must be BLS certified
Proficient in use of Laboratory Information Systems, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Proficient medical terminology
Excellent customer service skills
Minimum of one-year experience as a phlebotomist
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $20.05/hr - $25.07/hr - $27.08/hr. Final compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's applicable experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
