Description

This will be a full-time, 100% limited position in the Department of Neurosurgery at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI), you will assist in ordering, receiving, and distributing laboratory equipment and supplies, and maintaining stock solutions. You will also help prepare standardized media, reagents, and solutions for experiments, as well as assist with construction, assembly, and preparation of laboratory equipment. Administrative tasks such as record-keeping and workspace maintenance will also be required. All activities must adhere to laboratory safety practices.

Please note that this is a full-time, one-year limited position which may convert to a career opportunity.

Salary Range: $19.90 - $23.04 per hour

Qualifications

All Required:

• High school graduation or GED, with one year of laboratory experience or two years of college including courses in natural, physical, or social sciences, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must possess the knowledge and abilities essential for successful performance of the duties.
• Ability to follow through with tasks, prioritize work under general supervision, and demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
