Job summary

Main Line Health is seeking a Lab Assistant II for Paoli Hospital, a phlebotomy-focused role.

Under supervision, you will process and handle specimens for testing across laboratory areas, potentially performing venipuncture on patients of all ages. This position emphasizes patient care and accurate communication within the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years laboratory experience required.
• Proficiency in 2 different areas of the lab strongly preferred.
• 1 year experience with infant collections

Position:

Laboratory Assistant II- Day Shift 40 hours/week

Hours:

Mon thru Fri 645a-515p and weekend 7a-12p or 7a- 330p.

Experience:

• 2+ years laboratory experience required.
• Proficiency in 2 different areas of the lab strongly preferred.
• 1 year experience with infant collections

Education:

High school graduate or equivalent, certification as a medical assistant or related field preferred, moderate knowledge of medical terminology, excellent verbal, written, computer and clerical skills.

Licensures/Certifications:

Maintains certification in the Packaging and Shipping of Hazardous Goods.
