Job summary

Main Line Health is seeking a Per diem, Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join Paoli Hospital’s lab team. The role is Generalist-focused and does not include Blood Bank. You will perform specimen processing, execute tests, and report results with attention to accuracy and safety.

The position supports an evenings shift (3p-11:30p) with training lasting at least 8 weeks and requires strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate with the lab and hospital staff.

Qualifications

• Must perform procedures contained in the lab procedure manual including specimen processing, test performance and reporting results.
• Demonstrated communication, organization and prioritization skills required.
• Previous laboratory computer system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of complex testing to support detection, diagnosis and treatment of disease.
• Support an interdisciplinary team and help ensure accurate results for patient care.
• Adhere to lab procedures and safety guidelines while managing workloads.

Position:

Per diem, Clinical Laboratory Scientist – Generalist experience preferred. This role does not include Blood Bank.

Shift:

Evenings- Every Other Weekend (Saturday and Sunday) 3p-11:30p- Training is at least 8 weeks for this role.

Experience:

• Must have skills necessary to perform procedures contained in the laboratory procedure manual, including specimen processing, test performance and reporting test results.
• Demonstrated communication, organization, and prioritization skills required.
• Previous laboratory computer system experience preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program or related field
• Equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Licensures/Certifications:

MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification preferred.
