Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health in Camden, New Jersey is seeking a Laboratory Assistant II to support the laboratory workflow and ensure accurate specimen processing. You will perform registration for lab specimens, monitor error logs, and assist with billing-related tasks across Healthquest, IDX, and Sunquest systems.

With at least 3 years of experience in a hospital or clinical laboratory specimen receiving area and a high school diploma or GED, you will join a not-for-profit health system recognized

Responsibilities

• Performs registration in IDX for laboratory drop-off specimens.
• Monitors Ancillary Error Log - makes corrections in Healthquest, IDX or Lab Systems when required.
• Adds patient charges to Healthquest for miscellaneous test requests. Merges patient accounts in Sunquest.
• Adds/deletes/modifies charges in Healthquest when requested by QA Manager and Admin Director.
• Provides support to Customer Service and Reference departments.

A Laboratory Assistant II is an individual with at least 3 years’ experience in the specimen receiving area of a hospital or clinical laboratory. This team member performs the duties of a Lab Assistant and has additional tasks assigned by the manager
