Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in Cape May Court House, NJ is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to receive specimens, process tests, and manage reports in a hospital laboratory setting.

You will verify specimen integrity, identify samples correctly, and communicate with inpatient and outpatient staff. Requires HS diploma; CPT/CCMA preferred. Training provided for reference labs and computer systems.

Qualifications

• Receives specimens and orders appropriate tests as prescribed; processes samples for laboratory testing using various computer applications.
• Checks for specimen integrity and proper specimen identification.
• Prints and distributes reports, answers telephone calls from customers including inpatient nurses/physicians and outpatient clients.
• Processes specimens for multiple Reference Labs.
