Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health in Camden, NJ, seeks a Laboratory Assistant II to perform registration in IDX for laboratory drop-off specimens and support accurate specimen handling.

You will monitor the Ancillary Error Log, make corrections in Healthquest/IDX, add charges, and merge patient accounts in Sunquest, collaborating with QA Manager and Admin Director.

Minimum 3 years’ hospital or clinical lab specimen receiving experience; High School or GED required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience in the specimen receiving area of a hospital or clinical lab.
• Ability to handle registration, data entry and specimen processing accurately.
• Team player with attention to QA processes.

Responsibilities

• Performs registration in IDX for laboratory drop-off specimens.
• Monitors Ancillary Error Log - makes corrections in Healthquest, IDX or Lab Systems when required.
• Adds patient charges to Healthquest for miscellaneous test requests. Merges patient accounts in Sunquest.
• Add/deletes/modifies charges in Healthquest when requested by QA Manager and Admin Director.
• Provides support to Customer Service and Reference departments.
