Qualifications

• Participate in inventory and ordering management.
• Promote patient satisfaction and customer service values with staff and patients.
• Support training of new staff and ensure proper laboratory logs and quality control.

## Laboratory Assistant I - Per DiemApply: EVH Evanston Hospital: Part time: Posted Today: R47456**Hourly Pay Range:**$19.22 - $27.87 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.**Position Highlights:*** Position: Laboratory Assistant I - Per Diem* Location: Evanston Hospital* Full Time/Part Time: Per Diem* Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm, e/o weekend and roating holidays**What you will do:*** Triage, accession, and process non-gynecologic, gynecologic, and FNA specimen* Assist with quality control processes and procedures to assure that instruments and reagents meet the required standard of performance* Performs related clerical and service tasks such as answering phone inquiries from nursing staff and physicians and gives results data as required.* Maintains a safe work environment by using required protective devices. Handles biohazardous materials and chemicals according to established protocol.* Participate in inventory and ordering management.* Actively promotes patient satisfaction and customer service values with all staff members. Treats patients with respect and care. Instructs and encourages coworkers to treat patients and hospital staff courteously.
