The University of Alabama recherche un assistant de laboratoire pour préparer et maintenir les laboratoires d'enseignement en biologie. Normal Work Schedule:Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm
Job Summary:The Laboratory Assistant prepares and equips teaching labs for daily classes. Maintains, repairs, and cleans labs and lab equipment.
Additional Department Summary:Helps with the preparation and maintenance of the microbiology teaching laboratories.
Required Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience; OR associate's degree and some experience.
Skills and Knowledge:Ability to follow detailed instructions under limited supervision and work in an environment that requires sitting/standing for periods of time with repetitive movements throughout the day. Knowledge of standard laboratory equipment and laboratory safety is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Biological Science, Biology, Microbiology, Botany, or Chemistry and experience in a laboratory.
