Job summary

Toralgen is seeking a Laboratory Assistant in West Lafayette, IN for a full-time, on-site position. You will support laboratory operations by preparing reagents, setting up experiments under guidance, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Daily tasks include operating and caring for lab equipment, cleaning glassware, restocking chemicals and consumables, organizing inventory, and following standard operating procedures to assist scientists and ensure reliable results.

Qualifications

• Strong laboratory skills including basic techniques and safe handling of materials.
• Clear communication and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Familiarity with safety regulations, good laboratory practices (GLP), and inventory management is beneficial.

Role Description

The Laboratory Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in West Lafayette, IN. This role supports laboratory operations by preparing reagents and solutions, setting up experiments under guidance, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Daily tasks include operating and caring for laboratory equipment, cleaning and sterilizing glassware, organizing inventory, restocking chemicals and consumables and maintaining lab cleanliness. The Laboratory Assistant will follow standard operating procedures, support quality control activities, and collaborate with scientists and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and reliable results.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong laboratory skills, including basic lab techniques and safe handling of materials.
• Candidates should possess clear communication skills, including the ability to follow written and verbal instructions and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with safety regulations, good laboratory practices (GLP), and inventory management is beneficial.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, handle repetitive tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced research environment.

Compensation:

$15-17/hr
