Actalent is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for reagent packaging in Newark, CA. You will fill bulk reagents into final bottles, apply labels, pipette, and assemble kits in a clean lab setting.

The role is a 3-month contract based on backlog with potential extension, daytime schedule, and onsite work. Experience with SOPs, ISO standards, and inventory handling is required.

Job Title: Manufacturing Technician - Reagent Packaging Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated manufacturing technician to join our team in the packaging department, focusing on reagent manufacturing. This role involves filling bulk reagents into final container bottles and preparing kits containing multiple reagents.

Responsibilities

• Obtain bulk reagents from production and allocate them into containers.
• Print and apply labels to bottles and boxes by hand or with a machine.
• Pipette reagents into bottles and measure reagent volumes using a graduated cylinder.
• Operate packaging equipment, including printers, labelers, and electronic/mechanical fillers.
• Fill non-sterile liquid products in dark room and fume hood work areas.
• Prepare components, bottles, inserts, and instructions.
• Assemble kits and verify accuracy, documenting batch records.
• Maintain inventory status on products and ensure a clean, orderly, and safe laboratory environment following health and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Experience in manufacturing and pipetting.
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Familiarity with medical devices and ISO standards.
• Experience with reagent preparation and inventory management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted.
• Ability to work with animal plasma/serum-based products.
• Ability to wear latex gloves and safety glasses.

Work Environment

The position operates within a lab setting, with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Overtime may be required, but not currently, and no weekend work is expected at this time. This is a 3-month contract position due to a backlog, with a possibility of extension. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
