Job summary

The Laboratory Assistant role in Lenexa, KS is onsite at ICON, a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation. You will support technical staff with handling and storing biological lab specimens, data entry, and quality control tasks as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) along with 1 year of related experience in a Laboratory.
  • Basic working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office along with excellent written/verbal communication skills, the ability to handle large workload demands and troubleshoot issues timely when required.
  • Exhibit appropriate time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to keep accurate, legible records and recognize the need to handle these records and all other information in line with GCP/GLP/GDP.

  • Consolidating created samples/containers (i.e. slides, blocks, reports, etc.).
  • Searching and retrieving documents and samples.

  • Assisting the pathologists with the technical/clerical work.

Overview:
