Job summary

Tenet Healthcare is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform routine blood draws, specimen receipt, and distribution of laboratory specimens. The role may include CLIA-waived testing under supervision and lab support tasks as assigned.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma (phlebotomy program preferred) and be able to complete blood draws independently within six weeks, with 6 months of lab experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a phlebotomy program is preferred.
• Ability to independently perform blood draws within six weeks of hire.
• 6 months of laboratory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine phlebotomy duties and specimen collection.
• Receive and route specimens, label tubes, and distribute specimens.
• Assist with simple CLIA-waived tests under supervision.

Performs routine technical and clerical functions. Performs venipuncture, specimen receipt and distribution of laboratory specimens; may perform CLIA waived laboratory tests. Performs specimen receipt and distribution of laboratory specimens, labels tubes and specimen containers, collects specimens and performs simple tests under supervision. Performs phlebotomist duties as assigned.
