Responsibilities include health checks, sample collection, breeding, and assisting in cage washing under veterinary staff guidance.

The role requires following SOPs, operating lab animal equipment, and ensuring humane handling.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One year in a laboratory animal facility supporting a research project.

Responsibilities

  • Health checks and cage changes for laboratory animals.
  • Veterinary care and treatments.
  • Breeding and sample collections.
  • Technical support (injections, blood collections).
  • Cage prep for sterilization / cage washing.
  • General housekeeping and stocking supplies.
  • Administrative duties such as scheduling and meetings.
