Inotiv in Colorado seeks a Laboratory Animal Technician to assist in conducting animal studies with precision and efficiency. You will administer doses to rats and mice via oral, intravenous, subcutaneous, and intraperitoneal routes, and perform data collection, health assessments, and post-operative monitoring.

Responsibilities include blood collection, plasma/serum processing, behavioral testing, and assisting in formulation and rodent surgeries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or equivalent with lab animal experience preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed experimental procedures and scientific methods.
• Experience or willingness to perform animal handling and dosing protocols.
• Strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and data integrity.

Responsabilités

• Administer doses to rats and mice via multiple routes (oral, IV, SC, IP).
• Collect data: weighing, observations, health assessments, and monitoring.
• Perform blood collection and plasma/serum processing.
• Conduct behavioral testing (e.g., gait, von Frey, dynamic weight bearing).
• Assist in compound formulation and rodent surgeries as needed.
• Troubleshoot issues and escalate study concerns to supervisors.
• Own study components, maintain timelines, and ensure data quality.
• Review junior staff data for accuracy and completeness.
• Keep the lab clean and stocked; support other duties as directed.
