EMSL Analytical, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Analyst (Asbestos) in Cinnaminson, NJ. No laboratory experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided.

You will prepare and analyze bulk materials for asbestos using PLM, PCM, and TEM techniques, enter data into the LIMS system, and generate reports. The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or related science, color discrimination, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geology or related science is required.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Light microscopy training preferred.
• Some Laboratory experience either in academic or commercial setting.
• 0 to 1 years’ experience performing asbestos PLM/TEM/PCM analysis.
• Ability to distinguish colors to perform analysis.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude.
• Effective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal assistance.

Responsabilidades

• Preparation and analysis of bulk and solid materials for asbestos content using PLM, PCM, and/or TEM, and all QC procedures.
• Determination of visual percentage and optical properties of asbestos and non-asbestos material.
• Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed.
• Generate analytical reports and enter data into LIMS system.
• Perform quality control practices per QA/QC manual.
• Administrative duties including sample login and data entry, scanning and emailing reports, and answering phones.
• Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager.
