California Department of Water Resources is seeking a Labor Relations Specialist to handle the full range of labor relations work for two or more major bargaining units. The role is non-supervisory and telework friendly with a hybrid arrangement, reporting to the Manager I/Labor Relations Officer.
Primary duties include advising on contract interpretation, dispute resolution, and program administration. Applicants should possess strong knowledge of labor law and effective communication skills.
Under the direction of the Manager I/Labor Relations Officer, the Labor Relations Specialist (LRS), with a high degree of independence, performs the full range of labor relations work relating to assigned bargaining units, excluded employees, labor relations programs, procedures and assigned special projects. Assignment includes two or more major bargaining units. This LRS position is a non-supervisory position.
