Now Hiring: Employee & Labor Relations Officer

A great organization is seeking an experienced Employee & Labor Relations Officer to lead employee relations strategy, support labor negotiations, and ensure consistent application of policies and collective bargaining agreements across represented and non‑represented staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide employee and labor relations policy development and ensure fair, consistent application.
  • Support lead negotiators during contract discussions and help prepare strategies and materials.
  • Review and maintain CBAs, labor‑related documents, and reports for accuracy.
  • Advise managers on contract interpretation, grievances, and employee‑relations issues.
  • Oversee arbitration preparation and provide conflict‑resolution guidance.
  • Coordinate labor‑management meetings and maintain related records.
  • Conduct compliance reviews and develop solutions for labor‑relations issues.
  • Prepare confidential reports for regulatory or legal matters and partner with counsel.
  • Present labor‑related trends, updates, and analysis to senior leadership.
  • Track key employee‑relations metrics and support long‑term strategic planning.
What You Bring
  • Strong knowledge of labor law, collective bargaining, and contract administration.
  • Experience resolving grievances, preparing arbitration materials, and supporting negotiations.
  • Ability to interpret policies, laws, and labor agreements and advise leadership accordingly.
  • Strong analytical, research, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and influence managers effectively.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Labor/Industrial Relations, Business, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years of labor‑relations experience from the employer/management perspective.
  • Experience with grievances, hearings, arbitration prep, and negotiation teams preferred.
  • Public‑sector experience and HR/labor certifications are a plus.
  • Equivalent experience may substitute for formal education.
