Job summary

General Motors in Warren, MI seeks a Labor Relations Employee Placement Planner to support corporate labor-relations initiatives focused on employee placement, OTS movement, and wage administration for hourly staff under GM-UAW terms. This hybrid role requires on-site presence at GM Global Technical Center three days per week and involves collaboration with HR, Operations and leadership.

Qualifications

• Strong data-analytics and written/verbal communication skills.
• GM-UAW National Agreement knowledge and its application to employee movement and wage administration.
• Ability to communicate with leadership in large groups.
• Ability to learn internal systems including Workday, Kronos, EPS and data-analytics tools.
• Experience collaborating across HR, Operations, Finance, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and Union stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute OTS employee movement strategies aligned with business needs and the GM-UAW National Agreement.
• Manage backfill and movement processes for OTS employees, including postings, selections, recalls, transfers, relocation payments, and tracking.
• Support area-hire, extended-area-hire, recall and other employee-placement activities as required.
• Analyze workforce trends, staffing data, and placement activity to identify risks and opportunities for leadership.
• Lead Special Attrition Plan development, design processes, implement, and administer with stakeholders.
• Provide wage-administration support including accurate application of wage and related tasks.
• Become proficient in EPS and support transition to Workday; assist data analysis and corrections in Workday.
