Job summary

General Motors in Warren, MI, is seeking a Labor Relations Employee Placement Planner for a hybrid role that requires on-site presence at least 3 days a week. You will support placement, OTS movement, SAP administration, and wage processes for hourly staff under GM-UAW provisions.

You will partner with HR, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Union stakeholders, leveraging Workday, Kronos, EPS, and data tools to drive timely, compliant outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Data analytics capabilities with the ability to summarize complex information.
• Knowledge of GM-UAW National Agreement and its application to movement and wage administration.
• Ability to communicate with leadership in large groups.
• Learn and use internal systems including Workday, Kronos, EPS and data-analytics tools.
• Strong time-management and multi-priority execution.
• Collaborate across HR, Operations, Finance, Legal and Union stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute OTS employee movement strategies aligned with business needs and the GM-UAW Agreement.
• Manage backfill/movement processes for OTS employees including postings, recalls, transfers and tracking.
• Support area-hire, extended-area-hire, recall and other placement activities.
• Analyze workforce trends and placement activity to identify risks and opportunities for leadership.
• Develop and improve movement staffing strategies and standard work.
• Support SAP subcommittee and National bargaining activities.
• Build strong relationships with Union partners, Manufacturing Leadership, HR, Operations and Corporate Labor Relations.
