Job summary

National Fuel is seeking a Labor Relations professional to support growing operations in the Dayton, Ohio area as part of our acquisition of CenterPoint Energy. The role will begin remotely during the acquisition transition and will transition to primarily on-site support in the Dayton area after close.

The position involves managing collective bargaining agreements, advising management and HR, and coordinating with union representatives. Some travel to OH, PA, and NY is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities with attention to detail.
• Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and leadership capability.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to present data clearly.
• High level of organization, documentation, and confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

• Interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements to ensure consistent and compliant contract administration
• Lead disciplinary investigations, grievance handling, and dispute resolution in partnership with management and union leadership

• Partner with managers and HR to provide guidance on labor relations matters and employee relations issues
• Travel periodically to Dayton-area locations, with occasional travel to PA and NY as needed

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role supports the administration of collective bargaining agreements and day‑to‑day labor relations activities. This role serves as a key liaison between management, Human Resources, and union representatives, ensuring consistent application of labor contracts, policies, and employment laws.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The base salary range for this position is $62,500 – $90,000. Exempt positions will also be eligible for an Annual Cash Bonus Plan.
