Job summary

National Fuel Gas Company is seeking an Oracle Developer for the Information Technology department, with office locations in Buffalo, NY, Erie, PA, or Dayton, OH. The role may begin remotely and transition to primarily on-site support in the Dayton area after closing.

The successful candidate will play a key role in configuring, developing, and supporting Oracle Fusion/Utilities applications across multiple functional areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting enterprise application development or functional systems analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion/Utilities Cloud or comparable ERP platforms.
• Experience supporting configuration, extensions, and/or integrations for enterprise systems.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Configure, develop, and support Oracle Fusion/Utilities applications across one or more functional areas (HCM, CCS, WACS/OFS).
• Collaborate with business teams to translate requirements into scalable Oracle Fusion/Utilities solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle integrations, extensions, reports, and data extracts.
• Support data conversion, validation, and reconciliation activities.
• Partner with data engineers and architects to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues to ensure reliability and performance.
• Support system testing, UAT, and post-implementation stabilization.
• Document configurations and designs for long-term maintainability.
• Coordinate with external vendors for knowledge transfer and support models.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Configure, develop, and support Oracle Fusion/Utilities applications across one or more functional areas, including:
  • Human Capital Management (HCM)
  • Customer solutions (CCS)
  • Operations and field service platforms (WACS / OFS)
• Collaborate with functional business teams to analyze requirements and translate them into scalable Oracle Fusion/Utilities solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle integrations, extensions, reports, and data extracts as needed.
• Support data conversion, validation, and reconciliation activities related to Oracle Fusion/Utilities modules.
• Partner with data engineers and application architects to ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture and integration standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Support system testing, user acceptance testing, and post implementation stabilization.
• Document configurations, integrations, and technical designs to support long term maintainability.
• Work with external vendors and implementation partners to ensure knowledge transfer and sustainable support models.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting enterprise application development or functional systems analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with Oracle Fusion/Utilities Cloud or comparable enterprise ERP platforms.
• Experience supporting configuration, extensions, and/or integrations for enterprise systems.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidates who specialize in one or more of the following areas:
  • HCM Focus: Experience supporting Oracle Fusion HCM modules (Core HR, Payroll, Talent, Benefits, Security).
  • Customer Focus: Experience supporting customer platforms, billing, CRM, or customer information systems integrated with ERP environments.
  • Operations Focus: Experience supporting operational, asset management, or field service systems (e.g., work management, scheduling, operational finance).
• Experience supporting enterprise implementations or large platform transitions.
• Experience working in regulated industries such as utilities, energy, or financial services.
• Strong documentation and cross‑functional communication skills.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The base salary range for this position is $80,000 – $105,000

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of pay that National Fuel believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job. The specific base pay offered to a successful applicant will be based primarily on relevant professional experience. Other components that may be considered include: individual qualifications, licensures, industry specific experience, education and market demands for specialized skills. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. Exempt positions will also be eligible for an Annual Cash Bonus Plan.
