Job summary

Centrus Energy Corp. is seeking a Labor Relations Manager to serve as the primary liaison with union leadership, guiding contract negotiations and labor-management relations in support of business objectives.

This role requires at least 10 years of experience, a Bachelor's in related field, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance. Relocation assistance is available, and all qualified applicants will be considered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible labor relations experience.
  • Experience administering collective bargaining agreements within a unionized environment.
  • Demonstrated experience participating in or leading collective bargaining negotiations.
  • Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with union leadership and build positive labor-management relationships.
  • Lead and support contract negotiations and manage grievances/arbitration matters.
  • Advise leaders on contract interpretation and employee relations issues; develop negotiation strategies.
  • Analyze labor trends and metrics; deliver training to managers.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources, Operations, and Legal to drive workplace solutions.

What You Will Do:

You’ll serve as Centrus Energy's primary liaison with union leadership, building positive labor-management relationships while ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements and labor laws. You'll lead and support contract negotiations, manage grievances and arbitration matters, advise leaders on contract interpretation and employee relations issues, develop negotiation strategies, analyze labor trends and metrics, deliver training to managers, collaborate with Human Resources, Operations, and Legal, and help drive workplace solutions that support both our employees and business objectives.

A Successful Candidate Brings:
  • Master's degree or Juris Doctor (JD)
  • Experience managing grievances and arbitration proceedings
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • The ability to build strong relationships and effectively partner with employees, leaders, and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilities
  • Currently possesses a “Q” or “L” clearance

Estimated starting Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000. This position is Bonus eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, education/training/certifications, and geographic location. Actual compensation within this range will reflect these considerations. Relocation is available.

In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.

This position requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance. Candidates for positions requiring a security clearance are required to be tested for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR 707.4 prior to an offer of employment being made. In addition, once employed, employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
