Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Labor Relations Manager to drive strategic HR leadership, strengthen union relations, and align labor strategies with business objectives in Columbus, Ohio.

You will partner with senior leadership, lead negotiations and contract administration, and guide employee relations, compliance, and workforce planning. A bachelor’s degree and proven union environments experience are required, with SHRM certification a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in HR with labor relations and union environments.
• Bachelor’s in HR, Business Admin, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Experience with collective bargaining, grievance processes, and contract administration.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of labor laws, compliance, and HR best practices.
• Experience with HRIS, reporting, and workforce analytics.
• SHRM or related certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coach and support HR team members on labor relations best practices and employee engagement strategies.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, as well as collective bargaining agreements.
• Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to address workforce concerns and enhance employee relations.
• Analyze trends, metrics, and labor data to provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

• Proven experience with collective bargaining, grievance processes, and labor contract administration
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee relations issues and drive resolution
• Strong knowledge of labor laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices
• Experience with HRIS systems, reporting, and workforce analytics
• Certification from SHRM or a related professional organization is a plus.

Salary: Starting at $100,000 based on experience
