Hallcon is hiring a Labor Relations Generalist to support labor relations for 6,500 employees across 17 CBAs and multiple states. You will manage union relationships, advise leadership, and ensure compliance with labor laws and negotiated agreements.

You will handle grievances, guide management on discipline and just-cause standards, and support collective bargaining preparations while coordinating with payroll, benefits, and operations.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Labor Relations, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of labor or employee relations experience in a union environment, or a master’s degree in HR or Labor Relations.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with executive presence for leadership forums.
• Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional alignment and resolve conflicts.
• Multi-state experience and strong knowledge of employment law.
• Disciplined, organized, and detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure negotiated terms are implemented with payroll, benefits, and operations.
• Develop and deliver training on contract compliance and labor relations practices.
• Analyze wage and benefit data and recommend adjustments.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Sr. Director, Labor Relations, the Labor Relations Generalist will support labor relations initiatives across 6,500 employees and 17 collective bargaining agreements in multiple states. This role manages union relationships, employee relations matters, and grievances while advising leadership and ensuring compliance with labor laws and negotiated agreements.

Key Responsibilities

• partner with the sr. director, labor relations, to execute strategic hr, labor, and employee relations initiatives
• provide guidance on contract administration, labor relations, and the interpretation and application of collective bargaining agreements
• serve as the primary contact for all grievances; track trends, resolutions, and response timelines to maintain a consistent standard of responsiveness
• advise and support management on grievance procedures, discipline, and just-cause standards
• support collective bargaining preparation and negotiations, including researching and drafting proposals, costing economic terms, tracking tentative agreements, and maintaining redlines of contract language
• prepare case files, evidence, and witness materials for arbitrations and other third-party proceedings
• ensure negotiated terms (such as wage schedules, seniority, pto, and benefits provisions) are implemented accurately, in coordination with payroll, benefits, and operations
• develop and deliver training for managers on contract compliance, discipline, and labor relations best practices
• analyze wage and benefit data and recommend compensation adjustments based on market benchmarks and contractual requirements

Qualifications, Experience and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Labor Relations, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in labor or employee relations in a union environment, or a master’s degree in human resources or labor Relations
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the executive presence to represent the HR function in internal and external leadership forums
• Demonstrated expertise in building cross-functional alignment and resolving conflict
• Multi-state experience and strong knowledge of employment law
• Disciplined, organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to consistently produce accurate and timely work products while managing multiple ongoing projects

Preferred Skills

• Experience in an HR or Employee and Labor Relations role supporting a union workforce, particularly with employee and union disputes and collective bargaining negotiations
• Thorough knowledge of employment and labor law principles, practices, and applicable regulations, including the National Labor Relations Act
• Analytical skills to draw sound conclusions from data and anticipate second- and third-order effects when making recommendations
