Qualifications

  • First professional law degree from ABA-accredited law school, Bar admission, and at least one year of professional legal experience.
  • Alternatively, one year of acceptable performance at the GS-9 level.
  • For entry-level at GS-11, superior law student work or activities may substitute for one year of professional legal experience.
  • Two years of professional legal experience or an equivalent combination of professional legal experience and education for GS-12.
  • Three years of professional legal experience or an equivalent combination, with one year in labor relations or public employment law, for GS-13.
  • Four years of professional legal experience, two in labor relations or public employment law, or equivalent at GS-14.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional legal support for the Authority's resolution of disputes under the Statute.
  • Prepare decisions in arbitration, unfair-labor-practice, and negotiability cases.
