Job summary

The Employment Development Department (EDD) in Sacramento, CA, seeks a Labor Relations Analyst to support interpretation and enforcement of labor contracts, handle highly sensitive data, and advise management on labor relations matters.

This permanent, full-time role offers hybrid telework, a standard 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. schedule, and opportunities to influence negotiations, coordinate union leave, and improve processes across the department.

  • develop presentations and complete legislative bill analysis
  • advise and consult with Department management on less complex labor relations matters
  • coordinate union leave requests and conduct union-leave audits
  • manage the EDD’s Post and Bid program

In This Role, You’ll:

This position is headquartered at the New Labor Agency Building (NLAB), a newly remodeled high-rise building. Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for hours in the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) per month.
